GREAT COACHES. GREAT PEOPLE.

At Triangle Elite, we believe great coaching is about more than developing fast runners. It's about building confidence, encouraging growth, and helping young athletes discover what they're capable of. Our coaches bring a combination of experience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with young runners. We challenge our athletes to work hard, support one another, and enjoy the journey.

We don't just coach runners. We invest in people.

Founder & Head Coach

Josh Estep is an experienced coach and mentor with more than 15 years of experience developing young athletes and building successful cross country and track programs. As the founder and head coach of Triangle Elite, he has helped build one of the nation's premier youth distance running programs, working with athletes ranging from first-time runners to national champions and future collegiate competitors.

Throughout his coaching career with Triangle Elite (formerly Without Limits Triangle), Heritage Leadership Academy, and Cary Christian School, Josh has guided teams to 4 national championships, 17 state championships, and 23 conference titles, while earning multiple Coach of the Year honors.

While he takes pride in helping athletes achieve competitive success, Josh believes the greatest rewards of coaching go far beyond personal records and championships. His passion is helping young runners develop confidence, discover their potential, grow as leaders, and build friendships that last long after their running careers.

His coaching philosophy is simple: combine excellent training with an encouraging, positive team culture where every athlete feels valued, challenged, and inspired to become their best.
